Bar Ramone welcomes Raj Parr and Jordan Mackay on Thursday, November 1 for a celebration and discussion of their new book The Sommelier’s Atlas of Taste.  Raj serves as Wine Director for the Mina Group’s 17 properties; his lists for Michael Mina—the flagship restaurant—have won multiple Wine Spectator Grand Awards.

Jordan is the Wine & Spirits Editor of 7×7 magazine and the author of Passion for Pinot. He is a regular contributor to the New York Times and has written for Food & Wine, Gourmet, Decanter, and Wine and Spirits.

This is the first book to describe, region-by-region, how the great wines of Europe should taste. This will be the go-to guide for those searching out a straightforward and visceral way to understand and describe wine.  There are books that describe the geography of wine regions. And there are books that describe the way basic wines and grapes should taste. But there are no books that describe the intricacies of the way wines from various sub-regions, soils, and appellations should taste.
