We are living in unprecedented times. The implementation of statewide closures, cessation of operations and stay-at-home ordinances, while necessary, has taken a toll on many industries across Illinois, with few more impacted than the hospitality sector. This has left hundreds of thousands of Chicagoland hospitality professionals without sources of income and in imminent danger of poverty.
Despite these uncertain times, we at Tenzing have been inspired by seeing our community come together in relief efforts to help those in need. We know that we would be unable to exist without the hardworking individuals that make up Chicagoland's hospitality community. Therefore, Tenzing has chosen to support the efforts behind the Comp Tab Relief Fund.
A collaborative effort by Support Staff, Pilot Light Chefs, and various hospitality organizers, the Comp Tab Relief Fund is a collective and equitable source of financial aid, community and mental health resources open to all individuals within the Chicagoland hospitality community.
While there are numerous great relief efforts underway throughout the Chicagoland area, we have chosen to partner with Support Staff to support the Comp Tab Relief Fund because we believe it’s the best way to take care of those that take care of us that are particularly vulnerable at this point in time.
