Announcing the Newest Member of the Tenzing Family…

Iconic domestic producer Bryant Family Vineyard announced on Friday morning that its wines will now be distributed in the Illinois market by Tenzing, a Wine & Spirits Company.

For more than two decades, Bryant’s vision for excellence and commitment to meticulous winemaking has consistently produced some of the most coveted wines in the world.   “We have always been a family-owned company that has focused on partnering with other family-owned companies,” said Tenzing founder Ken Fredrickson. “This philosophy continues to be our guiding principle, and we are so honored—and thrilled—to represent Bryant Family.”

Considered by many to be one of California’s grand cru sites, Bryant Family joins other category-defining producers in the Tenzing portfolio, including Sine Qua Non, Vega Sicilia, Leflaive, Soldera, Royal Tokaji, Meo-Camuzet, Poggio di Sotto, Auguste Clape, Andrew Will, Voerzio, and Domaine de la Romanée-Conti.

Bryant Family’s modern, gravity-fed winery designed by renowned architect Gyo Obata seamlessly combines aesthetic with function for total quality control of the winemaking process.

The three Bryant Family wines include the estate’s flagship wine, called "Bryant Family Vineyard", a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon made from the family’s 13-acre estate vineyard atop Pritchard Hill, overlooking Lake Hennessey. This first growth vineyard is meticulously farmed by top vineyard manager David Abreu.

The proprietary blend “Bettina”—named after Bryant Family Vineyard President, Bettina Bryant— is a complex blend of Bordeaux varietals sourced from three of David Abreu’s own exceptional estate vineyards – Madrona, Thorevilos, and Lucia Howell Mountain.  The wine is comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot.

“DB4” is meticulously crafted and blended by the Bryant Family winemaking team to create an exceptional wine that can be enjoyed more immediately with proper decanting. DB4 combines the expressive benchmark terroir of the estate with a compelling blend of fruit from Abreu's vineyards.
